Japan's JSR establishes Taiwan photoresist plant with TSMC, targeting 2028 startup

The joint venture with Wah Lee Industrial and LCY Chemical will co-develop advanced EUV photoresists near TSMC's operations in Yunlin County. JSR, which controls roughly 20–25% of the global photoresist market, is simultaneously expanding production capacity in South Korea to secure supply as chipmakers scale EUV manufacturing.
